Why can't I print, share files, or use my home network?
When you use NetZero DataShield on a device you are creating a secure tunnel through which data travels, preventing anything from intercepting or communicating with that data. Now, if that device is connected to your home network this tunnel is also preventing other devices on your network (such as a printer, or a file sharing drive) from communicating with your device. This means that you won't be able to send a document to a printer, or stream a video onto your network connected television, or look at files on other devices.
If you want to interact with the other devices on your home network, you'll first need to turn off DataShield so you can share your connection.
