When you use NetZero DataShield there may be a very slight delay when surfing websites, sending & receiving emails, or engaging in other light Internet activity. This delay is so small that in all likelihood you probably won't notice any difference.

However, if you are downloading a very large file, or streaming a movie you may notice a slower speed. Turning off NetZero DataShield will return your Internet connection to the normal connection speed, but will also remove the security.
